Born in Curaçao, made in the Dominican Republic. Bandido was born in Curaçao because of the “rebirth” of childhood friendship of Daniel Jose Martins Pereira and Jose Francisco Vieira Alves. After years of no communication between them due to the different path each chose in life, it was their mutual passion for cigars what brought them back together.
A good friend is dear to us because of her/his generosity, availability, ability to cope with our worst days with kindness and compassion. Through their experience cigars can give us something similar, the connection between the two, cigars and friendship. With this in mind, together they decided to develop their own cigar line.
WHY BANDIDO?
Bandido stands for bandit in Spanish. We used the old timer bandits from the Mafia days like Al Capone, The Godfather and Scarface as our inspiration for the design and development of our brand. However, the brand Bandido represents more than just bandit or a cigar.
Bandido represents a mindset, a culture, a lifestyle.
A lot of times we behave in a way that society in general expects of us, and we lose our own identity. In essence we keep our Inner Bandido hidden inside our minds and bodies.
